RDON started this conversation
The Kansas Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a nutrition education program that provides nutrition education, including breastfeeding support; healthy foods and referrals to health and social services free of charge to Kansas families who qualify. WIC staff will review health behaviors and diet; provide individual nutrition education; support families making changes for better health and offer a selection of healthy foods.

General Program Requirements
In order to receive Kansas WIC services, you must live in Kansas and be pregnant, or have had a baby in the last six months, or be an infant or child under age five. Families must also have income at or below the maximum WIC income guidelines and have nutritional needs. County WIC staff will help to determine your eligibility. If you or a family member receive benefits from Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Families, or the Food Assistance Program, you may be income eligible for WIC. Please visit http://www.kansaswic.org/families/ and click on the link titled "Income Guidelines" to view the income eligibility amounts.
